Description

This Watermelon Lemonade Summer Drink is pure sunshine in a glass! Fresh watermelon blends with tangy lemon and a hint of lime for the ultimate summer refreshment. Sweet, vibrant, and easy to prepare, it’s perfect for backyard picnics, sunny afternoons, or anytime you crave a cool, fruity escape.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 5 to 6 cups seedless watermelon, cut into 12 inch cubes

  • 2 cups ice-cold water

  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar

  • ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4 large lemons)

  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice (about 1 large lime)

  • 2 tablespoons agave nectar (optional — honey or maple syrup also work)

  • Fresh mint leaves, watermelon wedges, and lemon or lime slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep the Ingredients:
Slice watermelon into bite-sized cubes. Squeeze fresh lemons and a lime to collect vibrant, tangy juice.

  2. Blend Together:
Add watermelon cubes to a blender along with lemon juice, lime juice, sugar, and agave nectar (if using). Blend until completely smooth and vibrant.

  3. Strain and Chill:
Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher to remove pulp. Discard the solids. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

  4. Serve:
Fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the chilled Watermelon Lemonade over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves, lemon slices, or watermelon wedges for a festive finish. Sip and enjoy!

Notes

  • Sweeter Variation: Adjust sugar or agave nectar to taste depending on the natural sweetness of your watermelon.

  • Sparkling Version: Replace half of the water with sparkling water for a fizzy twist.

  • Make Ahead: Prepare the lemonade up to 2 days in advance and store it in an airtight pitcher in the fridge. Stir gently before serving.

  • Serving Tip: Freeze extra watermelon cubes to use as ice for an extra fruity touch without watering down the drink!
