Description

Celebrate Thanksgiving with a twist using these unique Thanksgiving recipes. From roast turkey to pumpkin bake, these festive dishes are creative, easy, and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1214 lbs whole turkey
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 cups cooked wild rice or stuffing
  • 4 cups mixed vegetables (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup heavy cream or oat cream
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Rub the turkey with garlic herb butter and roast at 350°F until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  2. Whisk pumpkin puree with cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Pour into a greased dish and bake at 375°F for 35 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet. Add vegetables, garlic, and thyme. Sauté until tender and vibrant.
  4. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before slicing. Plate with pumpkin bake and vegetables, and serve warm.

Notes

You can substitute mashed sweet potato for pumpkin. For a dairy-free version, use coconut cream instead of heavy cream. Leftovers store well for 3–4 days refrigerated.
