Description

Southern green bean casserole with cream of mushroom, crispy onions, and tender beans. Easy to make with bacon, cheese, or gluten-free swaps.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups French-fried onions


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Boil green beans for 5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  2. In a bowl, whisk mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and pepper.
  3. Fold in green beans and transfer to 8×8-inch dish.
  4. Top with fried onions and bake 25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
