Description
This Hidden-Veg Peach-Spinach Smoothie is a creamy, naturally sweet, and nutrient-packed drink that’s perfect for kids—and picky eaters won’t even notice the greens! With ripe peaches, banana, fresh spinach, and Greek yogurt, this quick smoothie is rich in vitamins, iron, and protein. It’s the perfect way to sneak in vegetables without sacrificing taste or texture.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups frozen peach slices (or fresh, peeled and pitted)
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 cup baby spinach, tightly packed, washed and stems removed
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
- ½ cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
- 1–2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
- Optional: 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseeds
- Optional: ½ teaspoon fresh grated ginger
- Optional: A few ice cubes (if using fresh fruit)
Instructions
- Prep Ingredients:
Wash the spinach thoroughly. Peel the banana. If using fresh peaches, slice and remove the pit. - Layer in Blender:
Pour almond milk into the blender first. Add spinach, banana, peach slices, Greek yogurt, and any optional ingredients like chia seeds or ginger. - Blend Until Smooth:
Blend on high for 45–60 seconds or until creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add more milk to reach desired consistency. - Taste and Adjust:
Taste the smoothie. If it’s not sweet enough, add honey or maple syrup and blend again briefly. - Serve:
Pour into cups or kid-friendly smoothie glasses. Add a fun straw and enjoy immediately.
Notes
- Make It Vegan: Use plant-based yogurt and maple syrup instead of honey.
- Make Ahead: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Shake well before drinking.
- Add More Veggies: Toss in a bit of frozen zucchini or cauliflower for extra nutrients—still undetectable in taste.
