Description

This halloween pumpkin pizza is the ultimate festive twist on classic pizza night. With creamy pumpkin puree as the base, gooey mozzarella, savory Parmesan, and spooky toppings like olive “spiders” or pepperoni “eyes,” it’s a family-friendly dish that’s both delicious and fun. Ready in 30 minutes, it’s perfect for parties, cozy dinners, or a spooky October gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree (unsweetened)
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Optional: ½ cup pepperoni slices
  • Optional: black olives, cut into spider shapes
  • Optional: orange or yellow bell peppers, sliced into jack-o’-lantern shapes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat for a crisp crust.
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a round, oval, or pumpkin shape. Transfer to parchment paper for easy handling.
  3. Spread the pumpkin puree evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese generously over the pumpkin layer.
  5. Add Italian seasoning. Decorate with optional toppings: pepperoni “eyes,” olive “spiders,” or bell pepper “faces.”
  6. Carefully slide the parchment-lined pizza onto the hot baking stone or tray.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the crust turns golden and the cheese melts into a bubbly topping.
  8. Allow the pizza to rest for 2 minutes before slicing and serving while still warm.
