This creamy Cajun ranch dressing blends classic tangy ranch flavor with bold Southern spices like garlic, dill, and Cajun seasoning. It’s smooth, spicy, and full of depth—perfect as a dip, dressing, or spread. Unlike store-bought versions, it’s completely customizable and freshly made in minutes.
Ingredients
- ¾ cup mayonnaise (Blue Plate or Duke’s recommended)
- ½ cup buttermilk (low-fat or Bulgarian style)
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (Tony Chachere’s or Slap Ya Mama)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dill weed
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise and buttermilk until smooth.
- Add the parsley, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, dill weed, sugar, black pepper, salt, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated and the dressing is creamy.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- For best flavor, cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For more heat, add ½ teaspoon cayenne or a few dashes of hot sauce.
- To make it dairy-free, substitute the buttermilk with almond milk plus 1 teaspoon lemon juice.
- Keeps up to 7 days in the fridge, or up to 30 days if stored airtight and unopened.
