Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh blackberries (plus extra for garnish)
- ¼ cup water
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 5–6 lemons)
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 3 cups cold water
- 1 cup ice cubes (plus extra for serving)
- Lemon slices, for garnish
- Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Make the Blackberry Puree:
Place the blackberries and ¼ cup of water into a blender. Blend until smooth. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing with a spoon to extract the juice and discard the seeds. - Mix the Lemonade:
In a large pitcher, stir together the freshly squeezed lemon juice and granulated sugar until the sugar is fully dissolved. Add the strained blackberry puree and mix well. - Add Water and Ice:
Pour the 3 cups of cold water into the pitcher and stir to combine. Add 1 cup of ice cubes directly into the pitcher or to each serving glass. - Serve and Garnish:
Pour the blackberry lemonade into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with lemon slices, fresh blackberries, and a sprig of mint if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Make Ahead: You can prepare the blackberry lemonade up to 1 day in advance. Keep it refrigerated and add ice just before serving.
