Chewy blondies with apple chunks, warm cinnamon, and maple cream cheese frosting — a cozy fall dessert everyone will love.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted & browned
- 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 2/3 cups brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups chopped Honeycrisp apples
- 1 tbsp butter (for apples)
- 6 oz cream cheese, softened
- 4 tbsp butter, softened
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and brown the butter until nutty.
- Sauté chopped apples with butter and cinnamon until soft.
- Mix butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla, then fold in dry ingredients and apples.
- Bake 35–40 minutes, cool, frost with maple cream cheese frosting, and cut into squares.
Notes
- For best results, weigh flour instead of scooping. Store frosted blondies in the fridge for up to 5 days. Unfrosted blondies can be frozen.
